The original remit for this project pre-Grenfell was to remove the cedar cladding and replace. However, following erection of the scaffold, the client opted instead for a rendered finish to the building. The scaffold design has had to work with limited loading capacity since the building was already almost at full load. A pedestrian gantry to the front of the building allows access to businesses and residents. Prior to the cladding works, the scaffold was used for access to install a new roof. A cantilever scaffold is now being installed for access to the South Elevation.
