Planning Director

Ben started in the property industry after leaving the RBS Group in 2008 due to the 2007 recession. Starting at Countrywide estate agents as a trainee negotiator Ben held roles within every sector of the client facing business and eventually left in 2011. For the next 4 years Ben successfully brokered to multiple SME developers as well as an independent consultant, advising on planning permission and local government lobbying to ascertain profitable consents and developments. In 2015 he was approached to head up Connells Land & New homes region of Essex and Suffolk which he did for the next 15 months before eventually starting Apex Platinum Investments, a Greenbelt and land promotion company. Apex has continued to grow exponentially over the last 4/5 years with a land bank of over three thousand units and commercial property exceeding one hundred acres.
Kalvin Newnham
Kalvin Newnham

Commercial Director

Kalvin Newnham is an experienced commercial surveyor with over 30 years’ experience within the construction industry. Kalvin has worked for a multitude of Tier 1 contractors and developers on range of construction projects which include prisons, schools, hospitals, commercial and large flagship residential schemes. Alongside the main contractor role Kalvin has also headed up several trade specific sub-contractor companies from the commercial perspective. Combining all this experience from contractor and developer positions, his understanding of the construction market is without equal. His knowledge of cost control, buildability and delivery alongside a tried and trusted delivery team brings knowledge and stability to any scheme he is involved in.
Lewis Smith
Lewis Smith

Strategic Director

With over 10+ years’ experience in the Finance industry, Lewis has worked in the operational side of financial services in multiple departments, as well as passing the Rules and Regulations and Derivatives Markets exams. Career progression led Lewis to become a Commodity futures and options broker, which included reporting on the market daily to clients. Following this, Lewis moved into Credit, broking Financial CDS; sovereign, bank and insurer debt. Lewis was a key member of the team which led to the company becoming the market leaders in their sector. Lewis has recently completed a two year learning program with Apex Platinum Investments, centered around planning, land and property developments. Combining his experience in the financial services industry with the knowledge from Apex Platinum Investments, he has honed the skills to run viability and feasibility studies on a range of development models being utilized by Regen Capital.
Bob Davey
Bob Davy worked within Local Government for 34 years, serving 8 local authorities,  the latter two as Director of Finance covering an18 year period.  Bob wrote a Local Government Finance Guide, published by Longmans, and was active in representing local authorities interests through membership of the Association of District Councils, also serving as president of that Body.  Since leaving local government Bob has for many years been providing advice of a financial, technical  and legal nature,  mainly to local authorities, through employment with three of the key Treasury/financial advisers, for one of whom he was Managing Director
